March 2025 was a month of pushing through. Most of my time was spent in my apartment working, which didn’t leave much room for exploration. While it was candidly one of my hardest months in life yet, there’s something grounding in just making it through.
It’s a good reminder that not every chapter has to be exciting to be meaningful. Some months are about showing up, day after day: persistence. I’m proud I showed up.
Who am I again? I am Brett Bejcek. I live by my top values of Exploration, Iteration, and Connection. Exploration is what I do; I do it through iteration; and I do it to create more connection. These days, I spend a lot of time working on a startup, Limitless. It is my main priority. Outside of work, I am prioritizing physical health, (re)building community, and cultivating creativity through interesting weekend projects.
Fun Metrics. A peek into my life: some tied to goals, others just for fun. Because I’m not a business, I’m a silly human.

Fun lil memories:

Highlights of March:
- Real time shipping for hardware: One of the most rewarding moments of the month was our hardware becoming generally available. After months of work: from initial announcements to manufacturing to onboarding our first design partners, it’s surreal to run into it at meetups in NYC. Even better: our early users genuinely are enthralled with it. The climb is steep, but moments like this make it all feel worth it.
- Working out consistently: I crushed it. I worked out more this month than any month in recent memory, and I felt it: not just physically, but mentally too. The gym is starting to feel less like a chore and more like a community. I’m doing things I didn’t think I could (looking at you, 45lb dumbbells), and there’s something empowering about that consistency.
- Becoming a fan: Going in, I knew nothing about the musical Death Becomes Her (I didn’t even know it was a movie with Meryl Streep), but I walked out a major fan. It was iconic, hilarious, and deeply campy in all the right ways. There’s something so special about unexpectedly discovering something you really love. It doesn’t happen often—I’m rarely a fan of anything—which makes it feel all the more electric when it does.
Lowlights of March:
- Family health problems: March brought a reminder of how fragile life is. Seeing a family member at the end of their life shifted a lot of things into perspective. It made the small things feel even smaller.
- Getting sick…again: Can you say norovirus? I can. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. It came in fast, lasted a full week, and reminded me just how brutal being sick can be. But beyond the physical toll, what hit hardest was how much it threatened my sense of independence and momentum. When you’re stuck in bed, even the smallest adventures feel out of reach, and that disconnect from movement, from doing, from living, really got to me.
- Pushing myself a little too hard: Between work, workouts, and personal life, I definitely pushed myself past my limits a few times. Not in a “hustle” way, more in a “uh oh, I forgot to eat today and it’s now 7pm” kind of way. I am resetting for April to build out a more sustainable life.
How did I do on my goals last month?
Not great. 44%. In school that’s an F, but in life I will give it a C. What kept me from hitting 100%? Lack of prioritization. You make time for what is important, and I did not make time for these goals.
March Goals
Stop | Start | Continue |
Zombie nights (nights where I have no energy left and am on autopilot when I get home). ❌ | More community - put myself out there more. ❌ | Work as top priority ✅ |
Procrastinating important conversations. ✅ | Writing more and telling more stories ❌ | Working out ✅ |
Late night stress eating ✅ | Self-care—not in the overly-performative, bubble-bath way, but in the deep, real, ‘showing up for yourself’ kind of way. ❌ | Weekend side project prioritization, I feel build-y and want to capitalize on that. ❌ |
What am I prioritizing for this month?
April Goals
Stop | Start | Continue |
Zombie nights (nights where I have no energy left and am on autopilot when I get home). | More community - finding a regular consistent community | Work as top priority |
Skipping breakfast or lunch | Writing more and telling more stories | Working out |
ㅤ | Take better advantage of living in NYC | Weekend side project prioritization, I feel build-y and want to capitalize on that. |
I’m really looking forward to this month ahead. I was in pure survival mode for the entirety of March and it showed: I wasn’t in a great headspace, I didn’t meet my goals, and it felt like life was living me instead of me living life. That’s the purpose of these check-ins: to be aware and to recalibrate.
April is a chance to move with greater intention, to reconnect, and to act with more agency. I’m ready to meet the month with open eyes, a clearer mind, and a bit more grace.
That’s all. Thanks for being part of my journey.
With love,
Brett Bejcek
On the first of every month I do a little self-audit and put it out into the world. Why? Accountability, reflection, and because life’s more fun when you share the messy middle.
